Precipitation Observations

The plot below was generated from observations at the UND STWRC Road Weather Field Research Facility. The plot contains precipitation values from the Lufft 24 GHz Doppler radar precipitation sensor (red line) and temperatures measured at a height of 2-meters. Values of precipitation are reported in millimeters (mm) and temperature in degrees Celsius. All observations are presented in 1-minute intervals with the precipitation representing accumulations in 1-minute intervals. The purpose of this plot is to evaluate the performance of the precipitation sensor and to provide monitoring of precipitation events.

[Note: Negative axis for precipitation is due to a limitation of the plotting software and are not meant to imply that negative precipitation values are expected.]
